POST BOOKING AND TRAVELING INFORMATION

1.    Airlines may make adjustments to your flight after purchase which could include, seat assignment changes, change of aircraft hardware/type, change of flight times, or cancellation of flights.  Most airlines will allow you to set up an account on their web site so that changes will be sent to you if/when they occur.  The agency cannot guarantee whether or not there will be changes or delays, so it is imperative that you check with your airline regularly regarding your flight.

2.    It is important that you confirm your flights with the airline prior to departure.  Please confirm your flight no later than 24 hours in advance for domestic flights and 72 hours in advance for international flights. Failure to confirm international flights or failure to use any portion of an airline reservation may result in automatic cancellation by the airline for all continuing and return flights. Familiarize yourself with your airline’s policies and requirements before booking.

3.    Different airlines have various check in requirement.  These can be based on your status with the airline, what type of ticket you booked, if you purchased an early check in product, etc.  Please make sure you are familiar with your airline’s check in requirements.  We recommend that you check in online through the airline’s web site if online check in is available.

4.    Unless stated otherwise by the airlines, it is important to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure for domestic flights and 3 hours prior to departure for international flights.  Make sure that you have all of the appropriate paperwork and identification needed to board your flight – especially for international departures.

5.    Late arrival at the airport can result in loss of assigned seats, check baggage missing your flight or denial of boarding. Denial of boarding is not eligible for refund or travel insurance reimbursement.

6.    Domestic Air Travel Documentation - The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on December 20, 2013 a phased enforcement plan for the REAL ID Act (the Act), as passed by Congress, that will implement the Act in a measured, fair, and responsible way.  A list of the current status of each state/territory is available at: https://www.dhs.gov/archive/current-status-states-territories. However it is your responsibility to make certain that you have the required paperwork for airline travel. This includes, but is not limited to: passport booklet, passport card, driver’s license, state issued photo ID card, military ID, criminal background checks, etc. Again, these documents are your responsibility and the agency cannot be held responsible for denial of boarding, access or entry to any originating, connecting or return flight(s).

7.    International travel requires the use of a Passport Book. Passport cards are not accepted for air travel. Immigration documents vary among different countries.  We will try to advise you on visa requirements for your destination.  However it is your responsibility to make sure that you have the required immigration paperwork for entering and exiting your destination country.  This includes, but is not limited to: passport, visas, vaccinations, criminal background checks, etc.  Again, these documents are your responsibility and the agency cannot be held responsible for denial of exit or entry from any country.

8.    Airfare changes or re-bookings are subject to airline penalty fees, re-booking fees, plus any cost difference of the new flight.

9.    Seat assignments are subject to change by the airline without notice. Some airlines charge in advance for seat selection.

10. Make sure that you are up to date on your flight status.  Flights can be delayed or cancelled at any time.

11. For cruise itineraries we recommend that you plan to arrive the day before your sailing in case of possible delays.  If you are late for your cruise departure, the ship will not wait for you.

12. Travel insurance is highly recommended.  Many reservations including flights, deposits, cruise fare, activities, and land itineraries are either non-refundable or have strict timelines for refunds.  Travel insurance is recommended to protect your vacation investment.  Travel insurance plans can also include medical coverage for accidents or illness that occurs during your vacation. 15. Please check your flight status with airline you’re traveling on 24-hours prior to your scheduled flight, and again before you leave your home/hotel to ensure your flight is on schedule. You also need to monitor local traffic conditions between your location and the airport.  Traffic delays can cause you to be late to arrival.  You must make sure to allow enough time to go through security prior to boarding your flight.  Again, make sure that you have ALL of your required travel documents before leaving for the airport!

16. For Southwest Flights only: Earlybird check in is recommended.  It does not guarantee you a certain boarding position.  But it does give you a better chance to get on the plane earlier.  If you have not purchased Earlybird check in, make sure that you check in online 24-hours prior to departure to secure your boarding position.

17. We also recommend you look at the airport maps prior to your trip so you are familiar with the airport layout, which will assist in making your connections.

19. Do not forget your passport book, any required health documents, and immigration documents!
